How do I about the teaching of writing? Greetings, colleagues in the field of education! Presently, I shall embark upon an exploration into the domain of writing instruction. Prior to undertaking this endeavour, my understanding of the complexities associated with instructing writing was rather restricted. However, I must say that my viewpoint has altogether changed since completing this course. We explored the enchanted realm of various writing genres, including exposition, descriptive, poetic, narrative, and persuasive. Beyond theoretical concepts, we were also required to complete practical assignments. It was positively a breath of new air when I discovered myself composing compositions for every genre. The purpose of these assignments extended beyond mere task completion; they provided an opportunity to enhance my memory and hone my abilities in areas where I may have become slightly rusty. In the past, instructing writing was equivalent to venturing into uncharted territory. Howe

How do you feel about the teaching of writing now?

My view on Teaching writing.  Teaching writing should not be taken as a chore. I feel that that is the common trait in most teachers these days.  After this course, I have learned that teaching writing can be a whole treat, and as such it is my view that being a teacher of Writing will be something worthwhile. I learned about the importance of the writing process and that is a guide for writers. It outlines the direction in which the writing goes until the final product has been completed. I understand that it is not linear so that allows the writer to go back and change concepts, and or ideas to provide the written piece more depth for the reader.  I learned about the writing traits, that allow the writer to share their ideas, thoughts, and voice with an audience. Through these traits, I learned that to teach writing activities the flow must be interactive and also motivate students to want to create a written piece to begin with, if young writers are not motivated to write then it wi

Exploring Poetry

Our literature class took an immersive dive into the world of poetry, focusing on the use of literary devices. We explored various poems, including "The Sea" by James Reeves, to understand how poets craft their work using structure, rhyme, imagery, and other techniques. This poem served as a perfect illustration of how literary devices can bring a text to life with its vivid metaphors of the sea as a hungry dog. What intrigued me was the depth and variety of devices used in poetry. Each poem we read became a new adventure, uncovering layers of meaning and emotion. This exploration highlighted how poetry can be a powerful tool for expression and communication, transcending mere words on a page.    I feel a renewed appreciation for poetry and its complexity. Discovering the intricacies of literary devices and their impact on a poem's interpretation was enlightening. It was like learning a new language that can express thoughts and feelings in a uniquely profound way. This e
